Tom started his own Degree Apprenticeship in Network Engineering back in 2018, and after studying for 4 years alongside a role in BT’s Core Network Integration team, he qualified with a 1st class honours degree and went on to manage his own Network Engineering team, no more than one year after completing his Apprenticeships. Tom is now responsible for Networking & Firewalls across BT’s “Media Cloud” platform which supports the business to deliver over 24,000 hours of content to screens across the UK and beyond. Alongside his role, Tom is a huge advocate for Apprenticeships – particularly in the governments Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, where he is a National Vice Chair.
