After completing his Electrical apprenticeship in 2009 and establishing a strong knowledge base with companies like British Gas and Siemens Mobility, Tom Smith transitioned into the telecoms sector with HG Comms Ltd in 2021. Starting as a Surveyor and Network Planner, he worked on projects including Cellular and Public Service Networks before expanding his expertise into Network Diversionary Planning before stepping into the role of Planning Manager. By mid-2023, Tom advanced to Project Manager, successfully delivering Network Builds across the East Midlands for various ISPs. In October 2024, he embarked on an apprenticeship through the ITP, working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Operations & Departmental Management, further strengthening his leadership and strategic skills.
